Welcome

Welcome! Friends of Fistral Dunes (FFD) is made up of locals and organisations:
1. To promote the conservation and sensitive use of Fistral Dunes
2. To make Fistral Dunes a valuable local community asset and a diverse habitat.
3. To advise and assist in the management of Fistral Dunes in accordance with the Cornwall Beach and Dune Management Plan 2016.
4. To structure the management plan into short term, medium term and long term goals and initially concentrate on:
a. Restoring the dunes,
b. protecting the dunes,
c. Monitoring the dunes,
5. Temporarily restricting access to some parts of the dunes for conservation purposes
6. Providing more accessible access in parts and
7. To promote knowledge of all aspects of Fistral Dunes, particularly the natural history and ecology.
8. To support and encourage all stakeholders, user groups and organisations with an interest in Fistral dunes.
a. To devise a wider dune management plan for the future.
b. To secure funding from a variety of sources to carry out these tasks.
